This wonderful Antique Scottish oak leaf brooch is set with ten pieces of polished Malachite which have been cut to fit the brooches unique shape and provide a lovely rich green colouring and natural patterning to the design.

Malachite means Mallow-green stone, due to its resemblance to the leaves of the Mallow plant. The stone radiates the rich green allure of nature displaying the beauty of plants and trees within its patterned surface.

The brooch is all solid Silver and has a lovely flowing curvature to the leaf with engraved detailing around each stone. It dates from the mid Victorian era (Circa 1860) and has been kept in excellent condition.
